Master Builders Association Australia is the alliance of building and construction industry players in Australia. It functions primarily as the voice of the building and construction industry. It also aims to provide services to members in a variety of fields-legal services, training, building codes and standards, industrial relations and international relations.

Founded in the early 1870's in Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle, Master Builders Association is now established in each Australian state and territory. Membership has now grown to over 23,000 companies.

Current membership includes large national, international, residential and commercial builders and contractors. Adding to that are smaller local subcontracting groups, as well as industry suppliers and advisers.

Incorporated by Royal Charter, the Australian Institute of Building (AIB) benefits from a long and proud history of serving and supporting the building industry. To achieve this, AIB has tied up within the industry as well as the sectors of education, government and related stakeholders.

Some of AIB's strategic ties with organisations such as Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC), Australian Construction Industry Forum (ACIF), Standards Australia, Certifire, Construction & Property Services Industry Skills Council (CPSISC), National Building & Surveying Alliance (NBSA) and NATSPEC. The AIB also has formal partnership agreements with the UK Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the New Zealand Institute of Building (NZIOB).
